السَّراويلُ: فارِسِيَّةٌ مُعَرَّبَةٌ، وقد تُذَكَّرُ، ج: سَراويلاتٌ، أو جمعُ سِرْوالٍ وسِرْوالَةٍ أو سِرْوِيلٍ، بكسرهنَّ، وليس في الكلامِ فِعْوِيلٌ غيرُها، والسَّراوِينُ، بالنونِ لُغَةٌ، والشِروالُ، بالشينِ لغةٌ.

سِرْوَالٌ - ج: سَرَاوِيلُ. :لِبَاسٌ يُغَطِّي النِّصْفَ الأسْفَلَ مِنَ الجِسْمِ، أيْ مِنَ السُّرَّةِ إلَى القَدَمَيْنِ، وَيَجْمَعُ الرِّجْلَيْنِ مُنْفَصِلَيْنِ.
