يَوْمٌ - ج: أَيَّامٌ. [ي و م]. ١. "مَضَى الْيَوْمُ": الْوَقْتُ الْمُمْتَدُّ مِنْ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ إِلَى غُرُوبِهَا. ٢. "الْيَوْمُ فَلَكِيّاً": زَمَنُ دَوَرَانِ الأَرْضِ حَوْلَ مِحْوَرِهَا، وَمُدَّتُهُ أَرْبَعٌ وَعِشْرُونَ سَاعَةً. ٣. "الْيَوْمُ شَرْعاً": الْوَقْتُ الْمُمْتَدُّ مِنَ الْفَجْرِ إِلَى غُرُوبِ الشَّمْسِ، كَمَا يَتِمُّ مُرَاعَاةُ ذَلِكَ أَيَّامَ رَمَضَانَ. "أَيَّامُ الأُسْبُوعِ هِيَ: يَوْمُ الأَحَدِ وَالاثْنَيْنِ وَالثُّلاَثَاءِ وَالأَرْبِعَاءِ وَالْخَمِيسِ وَالْجُمُعَةِ وَالسَّبْتِ.
